Good web design is not just about fancy graphics and flashy animations. A well-dressed shop window means little if your customers get lost inside your site and don't know what to do next.

frugle's designers makes sure that your site is:

  • easy to navigate
  • readable
  • well placed in the search engines
  • accessible by all browsers
  • accessible by people with disabilities

The words on your website are just as important as the images. What your customer wants to read may not always be the same as what you want to say.

frugle's wordsmiths will:

  • organise words into page-size chunks of 150-200 words
  • focus on the benefits of your product or service
  • make sure your words are clear
  • tell you if we think you need to say more
  • tell you if we think you've repeated yourself
  • think about where your visitor will want to go next

For a clearer idea of what you can expect when dealing with frugle we've split the process into 5 steps:

Step 1: Consultation

First, we'll listen to you. Tell us about your business and what you want your website to achieve. Who do you want to visit your site? What do you want them to do when they get there - for example, buy products, find information or just be entertained? How do you want them to respond?

We'll ask you about other sites you like (and don’t like!), and how you want your site to look and feel.

Step 2: Choosing a design

Next, we'll outline a brief for your project and produce a statement of intent. This details all stages of your project from initial design through to completion.

We'll draft a few preliminary sketches and ask you which you like best. Then we'll tell you how much it will cost to produce your site and ask you for a 20% deposit.

If you want us to write the words for your site, we'll arrange this for you. If you want to write your own content, we'll give you some writing guidelines and a timetable for completion.

Step 3: Building your website

When you've chosen a design and paid us your deposit, we'll start to build the framework for your site. We'll show it to you in the client demonstration area on our website.

When you approve the design and structure of your site, we'll pour in the content and read it through carefully.

Step 4: Delivery

When you are happy with the website we have built, we'll:

  • upload it to the World Wide Web for all to see
  • submit it to the major search engines
  • show you how to update and maintain your site yourself
  • send you an invoice for the balance.

Step 5: Support

While we are hosting your site, we are available 24/7 to help you maintain it and iron out any problems.
